These "quilt study" paintings began by reimagining a quilt my great aunt made me as a child and evolved into exploring more quilting square designs and new techniques in the painting process. 
 
Quilt Study #6 took the patter of Quilt Study #1, but with added solid color to look like overlapping fabric.
